Why "Tuesday?"

Tuesday was the answer my late husband would give when asked to do something - like "Let's go to the zoo..." Instead of saying maybe tomorrow, He would answer, "Maybe Tuesday we can do that." But Tuesday would roll around, and that request had now been forgotten, and the procrastination avoided a tantrum and a trip to the zoo. This was a way of procrastination instead of saying, "No - I don't want to." It was done for fun, and that is not to say that we never went to the zoo. It was used for things that weren't a priority at the time.

My husband of 24 years unexpectedly passed in April of 2019. We weren't as prepared as we thought. We were uninformed, unplanned, and unprepared. We were both successful self-employed individuals with multiple businesses and investments. We had made decisions on past experiences and theories that we thought were right. But we hadn't really talked to someone in the know. We had an accountant, a financial advisor, and some knowledgeable friends in different industries, but we didn't pull it all together and have a plan for "Tuesday."

Pulling from my personal experience, professionals in Accounting, Financial Advisors, Attorneys, and Funeral Planning, I have created a system to help you organize and prepare your estate in a simple format that will guide you to those who can assist in a plan that best suits your needs. No two plans are the same. Not everyone needs an accountant who works with your financial advisor, communicates with your attorney, and so forth.

I am not an accountant, a financial advisor, or an attorney. I am a widow and mom who wants to help others create their own legacy through estate planning. I am also a Realtor® and a small business owner in the Bismarck-Mandan communities.
